We use FANUC Robat M-10iA 12 industrial robot, to pick and feed turbo turbine wheel shafts into machine tool’s machining zones and retrieving finished shafts to the original postitions.
It is widely known that clamping and disassembling workpieces is one the biggest areas of spent time in machining cycle. If we can shorten this time, production efficiency and output can be greatly improved, and non-good parts can be reduced as well. This is the reason or value area that Okamins spent efforts researching and introduced FANUC industrial robot.
Not only changing wasted time into effective production time, but the production time can be extended. For example, during the everyday’s lunch time, say 1 hour, while manpower needs lunch and rest, industrial robot and machine tools can keep on the jobs collaboratively without stoping. If the plan needs, the production can be 24 hours.
“One operator for 5 machine tools” can be realised. With industrial robot used, only no less than half time of an operator is required to look after for a standard check.
